Chianina in the spotlight.

Several events have been set up to spotlight the Chianini. At the same time, these exhibitions contribute to the promotion of the region itself.

Flight over Valdichiana

The Tuscan hills are the setting for a 100 kilometer long valley, the Valdichiana . Flanked by hills and mountains, this valley stretches from Arezzo to Chiusi. Its name is derived from the Chiana river and is the birthplace of the Chianina , the gigantic cattle which have tilled the land for centuries.

Sinalunga is a picturesque village in the heart of Tuscany . This dazzling community is lead by the democratic left-wing mayor, Maurizio Botarelli with a go-soft approach. With several initiatives he tries to keep farming liveable.

For a second time,
the “Amici della Chianina”
are organizing
“La Valle del Gigante Bianco”, during the beginning of June.
It is a three-day event that promotes the Chianina. Giovanni Corti, president of the organization and spiritual father on the success of the event

“I'd like to achieve with Chianina what I have done with the Cinta”

The province of Siena , in the heart of Tuscany , is known for its rolling hills, dotted with lonely cypresses. In the Chianti valley the world's best wines and oils are being produced. But beside these famous brands, the province brings forth many other quality products. One of them is the Chianina cow.
